Overview

Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.

When your tabs are in the OneTab list, you will save up to 95% of memory because you will have reduced the number of tabs open in your web browser.

Privacy assurance

OneTab is designed for privacy. Your tab URLs are never transmitted or disclosed to either the OneTab developers or any other party, and icons for tab URL domains are generated by Google. The only exception to this is if you intentionally click on our 'share as a web page' feature that allows you to upload your list of tabs into a web page in order to share them with others. Tabs are never shared unless you specifically use the 'share as a web page' feature.

Additional Benefits

Storing tabs in OneTab can also speed up your computer by reducing the CPU load and memory (RAM) usage of your browser. Even a high-end computer can become sluggish when many browser windows are open, because each open browser window may constantly consume resources.

Very useful! Opening too many tabs is really a bad habit which is hard for me to break. So, OneTab can be a temporary solution and save my CPU usage!

I get chronically sidetracked, a condition which results in a loss of focus and an utterly crippled browser, (I'm Chrome Canary - which I use specifically *because* it's fast. I also surrender major dollars to my (fiberoptic) isp on a monthly basis for a fiberoptic connection that's so fast it's almost absurd. In other words, speed matters to me.) OneTab has completely solved my tangent-induced slow internet problem and it's utterly changed my virtual life. Here's what happens: I often get interested in topics I come across while I'm supposed to be focused on something else, and end up deep in the middle of a tab labyrinth, feeling fascinated and a bit guilty/anxious about not getting any work done. Since I'm super lazy about bookmarking things, (it doesn't help that Chrome/Canary's bookmark interface is ugly, and goes against every fiber of my spoiled/judgmental mac using instincts) I end up keeping all of these tangental tabs open, knowing that if I close them, I'll never find them again. Eventually, when my guilt takes over and I get back to work, my laziness switches to full on justification mode, and I either do a half-assed job of bookmarking a few of the sites, (never all of them) which is useless anyway since never go back to that unsightly bookmarks page. (A page made even more unsightly as my neglect has turned it into a swampy mess of disorganization.) Inevitably, I will spend forever trying to recall those sites I visited once-upon-a-time, since for me it's easier to start from scratch than to try and make sense out of my useless bookmarks. The other option I have is to add pages to my home page, (I use Spots and it's great,) but that slows down my browser too, and that dog won't hunt monsignor. I compulsively clear my browsing data, (I hit up Click and Clean every hour or so, another good extension,) because, as I've mentioned, speed is a priority, so my history is empty/useless, when it comes to retracing mt steps. Now I'm relying on my hit-or-miss memory of things I got into when I should have been focused on something else... It's not a good system. But it's not a problem anymore. Now I click a button and all my open tabs disappear to a magical page, where they stop assaulting my browser, and restoring my faith in humanity. They stay together in a group, which I name and then lock (save) and live there peacefully until I need them again. They don't mind if I quit chome/canary or turn off my computer, they just sit there, calm and orderly, awaiting my return. And the best part is... it looks pretty. Simple, clean, orderly and inviting - my tabs now live in bookmark heaven. It's my mew happy place. I keep groups of sites I frequently use at the same time, Amazon, Ebay, Google Shopping, and Etsy for instance, which saves time and annoyance. I'm more focused and less anxious about becoming distracted. I no longer worry that I'll lose something I found on on wild goose chase of new ideas. I don't know how I've gotten along without OneTab for so long, and I'll never willingly be without it again. The creators all deserve giant hugs and a lollipop. I'd get them all a puppy if I could. In other words, Thank you.

I love this extension. I used to keep multiple browser windows open with multiple tabs to keep a variety of things at my finger tips as I worked on a project. The time I save with OneTab by having everything in one page, and one list of groups is amazing.
