Overview

Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.

When your tabs are in the OneTab list, you will save up to 95% of memory because you will have reduced the number of tabs open in your web browser.

Privacy assurance

OneTab is designed for privacy. Your tab URLs are never transmitted or disclosed to either the OneTab developers or any other party, and icons for tab URL domains are generated by Google. The only exception to this is if you intentionally click on our 'share as a web page' feature that allows you to upload your list of tabs into a web page in order to share them with others. Tabs are never shared unless you specifically use the 'share as a web page' feature.

Additional Benefits

Storing tabs in OneTab can also speed up your computer by reducing the CPU load and memory (RAM) usage of your browser. Even a high-end computer can become sluggish when many browser windows are open, because each open browser window may constantly consume resources.

every few months I lose hundreds of saved tabs. started to export regularly just in case but why should I have to do that. Today opened browser 5 minutes after I closed chrome and all several hundred of saved tabs gone, oh yeah and I forgot to export it within the last week so that's gone. I love this extension but I'm tired of getting ZAPPED. so after a year I am here on chrome to find another add in. NO MORE zapping. I never leave reviews!

What OneTab is: OneTab is a session manager. It saves all your tabs as a session list, ready to be restored tab by tab or wholesale (it does not however save tab history, only the current tab pages!). What OneTab is not: OneTab is not a tab manager in the likeness of Tab Mix Plus, i.e. it does not control tab or window behavior in any way. If you need that, you will have to find a complementary extension for that purpose. Why you should use OneTab over its competitors: (1) OneTab is completely private, it does not upload or share your links to the cloud. (2) OneTab sessions are easily transferable between browsers by way of simply copying and pasting a plaintext list of URL:s, as long as both browsers have OneTab installed. (3) All your sessions and tabs are easily viewable and searchable on one and the same web page as links. (4) Because they are plaintext, you will never lose access to them a long as you back them up in a secure text file. If the extension stops working or stops being updated, you can still access your URL:s. Would I recommed it? Abolutely and without doubt! Without OneTab, I could never have managed to transfer thousands of links from my old Firefox browser to my new Chrome-based Brave browser. The built-in import functions on all browsers are subpar at best and handle extremely poorly multiple profiles, nested bookmark folders, bookmark folders with the same name, custom sorting of bookmarks... In short, importing bookmarks makes a mess out of them but OneTab comes to the rescue here. As an aside, I have not yet experienced any loss of OneTab session data but it would be a wise thing to back it up as often as possible! The closest I came to a loss of data was when I had to manually reinstall a different version of my browser without backing up my data (a stupid idea to begin with). Because of some incompatibilities the browser decided to reset all configuration settings to their default values and all extensions disappeared as a result. As luck had it, only the extensions themselves were erased but not the data associated with them so my OneTab sessions reappeared after reinstalling the OneTab extension! This just highlights that care needs to be taken when performing updates and reinstallations. Disable automatic updates if you feel unsure and backup your sessions before commencing with any updates. However, in my case the session list proved even more persistent than the plugin itself (go figure). Especially novice computer users should think twice before delegating sensitive or important data to any 3rd party extension because updates of the browser can make the extension malfunction or behave in unexpected ways with no fault of either the browser developers or the extension developers. So, it's good to know beforehand potential implications of modifying your browser's behavior and what precautions to take. Also, I have more than 10.000 tabs saved and I have not yet experienced any tabs disappearing on their own when saving them to OneTab. The only exception are tabs with empty or "about:" URL:s instead of proper http(s) addresses associated with them. Since these are not valid URL:s, they do not get saved... Of course, if you do not choose to keep them after restoring them, then they will be removed by design but that's a matter of configuring OneTab according to your preference.

Lost all of my important pages today. I've been using this for a while and loved it until today when I find that all of my links are gone and I can no longer get them back. Uninstalling this as soon as I find a replacement.

It's a great extension. But it's best to keep a history of the page
