This extension is excellent. Just been flicking through my Amazon wishlist and seeing what I can reserve at my local library. Worth noting this library wasn't originally listed when I added the extension so I requested it via the developer's website and they let me know it was added via email a couple of days later! Double thumbs up.
So unique and useful! Clearly the devs are book lovers and understand there is no such thing as too many books! Only one minor quibble: the UI is not great. The box has lots of useless white space and takes up half a page (I subscribe to a few libraries to be fair).
I'm a readaholic - I belong to two public libraries, plus Amazon Kindle Unlimited; and I browse every retail bookshelf I see, all to feed my shameful habit. And its not enough: I find new authors and need to read their back-catalogue to get up to the latest novel - and then keep up with their series: so I also browse publisher websites and note 'top ten books published next month' lists. I spend too much time searching too many databases to see who has my next book. And now I have the Library extension, which will search the local libraries for me right from the Amazon (or whichever) page I'm looking at. It's ideal. Takes all of the messing around with author search / subject search out of the loop and just straight tells me whether or not I can borrow the book. If someone got there before me, LE will make a reservation for me too! 100 out of 10 for an absolutely essential add-in.
Great resource for easily finding books I want to read.
I stumbled on this extension a couple of months ago after a "wonder if" search. It's a click-saver!
This is so great! It saves me a lot of time--instead of looking up a book on Amazon, then copying and pasting the title into the library's website, this app tells me instantly whether my library has a copy or not. Love it.
Such a great idea. I keep forgetting it's there and then I look up a book and BOOM! I find my library has it! Thanks so much.
Love the idea and it looks fine! I hope you'll be able to add support for Poland some day. Kudos!
I love how easy it was to add and use. I didn't expect my tiny town's library to be on the list but it was. My library doesn't have the best selection and now, for some reason, the extension just won't show whether a book is available or not. I've tried literally everything I could think of to fix the issue and nothing has worked. Edited to add: Andrew's quick customer service was amazing and well worth the additional star. I held off a bit to make sure the problem would not return and it has not. Excellent!
I love to read, sometimes too much! And it has been getting harder and harder to fund my book addiction. Now any book I find or is suggested to me comes with a lil note saying "Hey it's free and available at the library". The time and effort to find said book elsewhere is nonexistent it tells me whenever I look at the book, so I always know if there is a better alternative then just buying it. Love this extension, helping me save money, and staving off my addiction. 5 Stars!!!
