Reader mode is a useful option.
This fills the gap of Chrome not having a default reading mode. On Windows, sometimes, there is a delay when this will recognize the text and start drawing the rectangle. But in general it helps us to read content in the websites that are flooded in ads.

I was lucky to find this extension by reading a user's comment below another Reader View extension. I think this EasyReader works pretty good and it addresses two common issues with normal "Reader View" plugins: 1. Other plugins often reformat the article and sometimes they ignore images for some reason, but this plugin preserves the original content and formatting, so when you get ride of the noise on the page, you don't lose the nicely formatted content; 2. It allows you to specify which region of the page to pop out; most other plugins, including the great Pocket app, sometimes fails to fully capture the content if there is say, an advertising bar dividing the content, but it doesn't seem to be a problem for EasyReader. Although it would still be nice if there is an option to preformat the article like most other plugins, sometimes I just want a quick glance of what's important on the page, and selecting the region may be an extra step. But all in all, 5 star it is!

Simply Magnificent!
This is so easy to use and it does the job!! Puts the content into a nice font size and removes all of the unnecessary stuff ^_^ Also you can assign a shortcut for it which makes it even better an very accessible!!!
