Overview

Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

When you control your time on distracting websites, you’ll find you have far more time to focus on the things that matter most.

To use Limit, simply enter the websites you find distracting and choose a daily time limit. For example, you could limit yourself to ten minutes a day on Facebook, or half an hour a day on Duolingo.

When you approach your limit, Limit gently notifies you your time is almost up, so you can wrap up. And when you've reached your limit, you'll be directed to Freedom's calming Green Screen when you try to visit a limited website.

- You can add or delete any website from the list of sites

- Your time limit for each site is configurable, from 5 to 500 minutes

- Limit comes pre-seeded with 10 distracting sites

Works as advertised! Fairly customisable for a free extension, nice calming screen when a website's time runs out. All good! Now is the question of whether I can stick with it...

Trying to expand my use of the App and it seems this should offer a pin or password option like in "Focus" app. Would be really nice to give the control to someone else to make sure the timers in Limit were honored. Otherwise - Exactly as advertised. Simple. Clean. Helpful. I find myself way more productive with the time limits in place. I would not know how to react if this extension became unavailable.

This is simple, easy to use, and no learning curve is there. Plus, some preadded websites are also there. I initially got it for Netflix, which is already there in the list.

Randomly resets the time spent counter, so not as efficient as i would like.

I liked the concept but it needs some improvement like once set limit it should not be available for update in next 24 hours.

thank you for making this slight oversight i want to report I appreciate the timer change to be counting down, however the desktop notifications still trigger in the order they used to where if i limit youtube to 80 minutes, instead of getting a 10 minute warning in 70 minutes, i get it in 10.

It works like the digital well-being feature of Android phones. Very convenient to set healthy limits for browsing specific websites.

I love this idea and became a lifetime subscriber to Freedom just to get this. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work. It will get stuck at a particular time (I use the timer) - maybe at 0 minutes, maybe at 9 minutes, etc. Usually (but not always) disabling the limits and then re-enabling them makes it work again. I really hope they get the kinks worked out, because when it does work, it keeps my online usage within reasonable limits and keeps me from wasting time online!
