I used to like this app when it didn't keep breaking, when it didn't require Google sign-in, and when it was actually free. In fact I was eager for them to get through the Google review and to be approved so that I could use the extension again, but as soon as I was able to get it back up and running after the review, it's a huge disappointment to see that it's no longer free and requires credits to do the most basic function. I get that the developers want to get their bag and they took time to make the extension. It used to be the best of its kind when there were no alternatives. Now there are so many options and this standalone extension doesn't provide any additional value but costs money. I switched to the extension "ChatGPT » Summarize & Chat" by calmai.net which is really easy to use and it does everything this does for free, plus it can also summarize other webpages. This isn't a sponsored review, I don't care what anyone else uses and there are plenty of free extensions you can find. I'm removing this extension. It's been a huge disappointment after such a long hiatus. -------- Update: Updated review from 1 star to 4 stars since the free version is added back. The summaries are genuinely pretty good and now the free version is back, it's worth using again.

Not sure what changed but after not using this for a while it now wants me give them my Google details. And now I see reviews that it's not working anyway. Uninstalled.

great it doesn't leave out the small detail but when i enter fullscreen in the video its just gray i would be happy of u fixed this issue

As Mr. Binnie succinctly expressed, "I appreciate the developer's efforts to maintain this extension that can create concise summaries of YouTube transcripts. However, I have decided to stop using it because of the paywall. I think the quality of the summaries is still very good."

Old version is just better! It uses my personal ChatGPT account to generate summary. Now it's pay to use model. Why should I pay for this if I am already paying for ChatGPT Plus subscription?
