Cloud based and it's free, working on Chrome, FIrefox (even beta, dev, nightly), Edge, Opera, Brave. I never had issues, autofill works as charm! Dashlane sucks compared to this one!

I'm reasonably happy with Password manager now (2020), though I did have to do another remove and reinstall recently. In 2019 I said: Working quite well as a password manager, but it recently kept giving "Failed" messages. I had to remove and re-install the extension - with all the bother of logging in. Earlier there was a trying time migrating from the Norton ID-Safe

I've used Norton ID Safe quite successfully for years on my desktop PC. Only started using it as a Chrome App. w/a new Gmail acct. recently. As a PC download it was an accessory included with the NIS package and the package I purchased was downloadable on up to 5, other machines -Smartphones, Tablets included. I had successfully installed it on my Android phone, tho hadn't accessed it, back in August. In January it seemed like a good idea" to get a Gmail email account because it was impossible to retrieve my email from AOL (thanks Verizon, for nothing) on the Android. and that's when problems surfaced. Once I began using a Gmail address then installed Chrome on the new(gift)Amz.FireTablet- w/a restricted OS even worse than IOS- I was forced to install Google Play if I wanted any program not Amazon. So I had to get this App. Which has made the Norton app completely non-functional on the phone and the Tablet. Not only has it taken priority over all other apps, it's slowed down my phone being a memory hog. And it doesn't load. It just hangs. Of course I've tried tweaking Permissions and priorities via Settings in the phone and Tablet, which matters not: once Google gets hold of *anything* you've lost. Which brings me to an issue we are all going to face in April: According to warnings I've read sent by Norton, ALL Extensions created/provided by Google currently used will be cut. I'm not sure the extent of this change my understanding if that you use any Extension created by Google you will lose it. The only way to reinstall it is to go to either the Google Play Store or the Chrome Web Store and re-install it as an App. Phones, Tablets and Desktops. I don't know if this only affects Chrome Browsers or Google Search engines. I do know the changes take place on April 1, 2019. What had once been one of my most favored Norton Accessories (bc it actually functioned) is currently useless on the Android phone/Tablet. Solution: because Norton forewarned of the change, and I'm also fed up with Norton in general, in 12/2018 I purchased 3 little Password Keeper booklets on sale at The Container Store, small little things that easily fit into a back pocket or purse. I've been manually entering Login creds to easily access them when I'm out w/the phone or Tablet. Or even when in the 3 story house when I don't feel like running around to get to PC, open up ID Safe, wait to enter the necessary login info, wait for files to load, enter website name, etc. Yeah, no so safe, but neither is handing over your ATM card or credit card anymore. Google, Amazon, FB, IG, your Smart TV ,probably your smartlamp, baby monitor and toothbrush track your every move, too, so I doubt my little pink booklet is any less safe than your smart car.

Norton Password Manager is throwing up a list of logins that I have in Chrome even when it is not called for. And there's no easy way to close the list. And it doesn't close when I click somewhere else. And, I can't 'disable for this site." You used to be a 5-star in my mind after Norton and Chrome started playing well again (finally!) but it is going back down hill with this new behavior.
