Bookmark Favicon Changer
Change your bookmark favicon with ease using the Bookmark Favicon Changer extension. Simply click the extension icon or open the options page. Right-click on any bookmark, and a popup menu will appear, offering options to “Change Favicon,” “Reset Favicon,” and “Export Favicon.”
Key Features:
- Use any image file or image URL supported by your browser as a favicon.
- Automatically resize images to a maximum of 512x512 pixels and save them as PNG files.

This app does exactly what it promises—it lets you change the icon on your bookmark. The key is that you need to be on the website you want to customise when you click on the extension. Then, simply select “Change Icon,” upload your preferred icon, and click “Add Rule.” I was a bit confused at first too—I thought it wasn’t working! But once I figured it out, it was straightforward. Best of all, it’s free—so if you find it useful, consider donating to the creators to support their work!

Thanks for not being a capitalist. This works perfectly.
Works fine , as well in Slimjet browsers, as in Edge and Chrome browsers. This is the solution , to clean-up websites without a own logo transmitted. Keep up the good work !!! ( this app doesn't claim to get favicons... You can use any icon or png file with a picture for displaying as the website you want it . For myself, I do capture (part) of pictures from the website I need the favicon for, and save it as JPG first, then convert it to .ico or .png. Until now, I always got the results I wanted......)
There might have been problems with the extension, but I emailed the developer and they are probably fixed now in version 5.2 that was released on Jan 19, 2025. If you encounter any more problems, just contact the developer. He seems like a nice guy.
This Extension doesn't work. Don't use it until they fix it.
I saw a post from someone thinking the extension does not work. I initially thought so as well, however found that you have to open the extension itself. From within the extension app window, it gives you a list of your bookmarks. That is where you can right-click etc. Hopefully this helps anyone else who starts out by right clicking their actual bookmarks instead of opening the app, then selecting the bookmarks from there.
Zero stars if I could post that way. Because what the article says is just not true, as of October 26 2924. The menu that comes up when you right-click a menu icon does NOT offer ANYTHING referring to Favicons at all. Not Change, not Reset, not Export. Nothing. I remember there used to be something like this, but now you're stuck with the favicon you've got.
Works exactly as expected.
so far it works good. It's quite easy to understand and the UI doesn't get in the way.
