Removing this since it has been showing shady popups stating I have to upgrade Chrome. Reported as well.
it's just youtube but better
EDIT: I have changed my mind. There are now also popups for updates to magic actions, and for random blog posts or something by the dev. I have had enough and am uninstalling. TLDR Plugin is not hostile, you are actually behind on chrome updates. However, those popups are stupid, should probably not be clicked just to be sure and the dev should remove them ASAP. Okay, so it seems this plugin /hasn't/ actually gone rogue, the dev has just done something incredibly stupid. If it gives you a chrome update popup, it's just trying to tell you that you are actually using an old chrome version. I found out after going to settings and checking my chrome version, Chrome started updating itself automatically. HOWEVER, this is not the job of this plugin. It feels incredibly suspicious, and I believe the devs should remove this 'feature' ASAP. It is ruining their reputation, and the weird 5 star reviews don't really help.
Very good and useful settings
Some window popped up claiming I need to update my browser. F off if you think i'm not smart enough to know if I actually need an update or not. DO NOT SCAN FOR A NEW UPDATE, ITS MALWARE.
Malicious update popup claiming Chrome is out of date, despite the browser being up-to-date automatically and no updates available. DO NOT TRUST, the developer is clearly putting you in a compromising situation.
This used to be a pretty good extension, but over the past year it's slowly become more and more intrusive and obnoxious. Tonight I received a POP-UP, alerting me that "MY CHROME IS OUT OF DATE OMGZ!!11" which is hilarious. Chrome updates itself, I don't need some other developer for a youtube extension telling me so, with a shady hyperlink included. In a pop-up, though? Shame on you. That's just low-brow enough to get me to just uninstall this. 3 stars, "It was okay". As in, used to be alright, but no longer.
This is malware. Now includes a popup disguised as a message from Chrome to update your browser, but actually directs to a page on the mycinema.pro website. Get the entire f outta here with that bs. Reported.
This developer is know for manipulating the Chrome web store with fake reviews and spying you on each YouTube video you visited. It is best to report this by clicking on the abuse link (in the Chrome web store). Also popping up with a fake virus notification telling me to upgrade Chrome.
Was great...until the malware pop-ups came. DO NOT INSTALL!
