Welcome to all users coming from "The Marvellous Suspender", "The Great Suspender (notrack)", "Tab Suspender", "Tiny Suspender" or other similar extensions!
This extension can migrate your suspended tabs! Do not uninstall your existing extension(s) until you migrate to this one, or else Chrome will delete all your suspended tabs.
Let Chrome run faster by freeing up resources used by old inactive tabs.
Discarding a tab natively tells your browser it can free up memory and resources, and is the preferred way to keep your browser running fast and efficient.
Tab Suspending is the old-school approach at saving memory, but allows for visual customization. Your browser will still assign some resources to the suspended "mini-pages" to allow for the customization. But you can also Discard a Suspended tab... perhaps getting the best of both worlds.

This has saved me. Now I can restart Chrome and my 1000+ tabs don't triger DDOS protection.

Works great! But the shortcut for "Discard all tabs in ALL windows" only discard all tabs in the CURRENT window, i have not found a way to discard all tabs (except active one) in multiple windows at once, the option to assign a shortcut for this is on the extension but currently doesn't work properly.
Please add a keyboard shortcut option to suspend multiple tabs at once, and unsuspending multiple tabs at once. The extension works great though, thanks!
Been using it for awhile now, it's good, does it's job well. I needed something to stop chrome from loading unused tabs on startup, it can't do that automatically but it's very easy to just hit the "Discard all other tabs" button so it does that job as well.
Migrates from an old unpacked version of The Great Suspender wonderfully. Seems to be very well made. Thanks!

Switched from The Marvellous Suspender, it's actually faster and lighter. Works like a charm.
Sort of works, but not as well as the old Great Suspender (no-track), before it became malware. Would be ideal if it mimicked the old extension, including "Suspend all this window" and "Suspend all in all windows". The discard function cripples my machine when restoring an old session in a way that Great Suspender never has. Need to uninstall as a result of that, 8-12x longer to restore than the old extension. "Not being sold to third parties, outside of the approved use cases" is unsettling. Data being sold is data being sold, I don't care if the use case is "approved" or not.
So far after trying a lot of extension for suspending tab for saving memory and battery, this is the best one that I can get and use daily. Thank you for developer for creating this excelent and free extension for us as user. I really appreciate it.
