A Chrome extension that adds highly visible watermarks to AI-generated YouTube videos for transparency and EU AI Act compliance.

When AI video creators mark their content as "AI-generated," YouTube currently only adds a small "Altered or synthetic content" notice buried at the end of the video description (as of December 2024). Most viewers never check descriptions, making it easy to miss that a video is AI-generated—even when properly labeled by the creator.

Why This Matters:

In an age when AI-generated videos are nearly indistinguishable from reality, transparency about content origin should be mandatory and visible. Watching a documentary history channel that uses AI-generated images or clips without clear disclosure should not be acceptable. The EU AI Act will require clear labeling of AI content by August 2026.
