It was working fine until version 1.0.19. Since then, the calculation has become very unreliable and no longer functions as a basic calculator. Currently, 5/2=3 ,or return the same value for some multiplication (e.g. 70*1.44, 80*1.44, or 90*1.44 all return 100). It looks like the decimal has been removed, and it is doing some strange rounding. I emailed the developer but received no response. It has been a week since it broke, and there is still no fix. You may want to use another extension until this is fixed. UPDATE: Version 1.0.22 : was released and still has the same issue. UPDATE: Version 1.0.23 : improved the issue, but it is still not fully fixed. In the previous broken version, calculations such as 5/2 were showing 3. In this version, 5/2 is now showing 2.500000000000001 instead of 2.5, so there is still a precision/rounding problem. I appreciate that you maintain this extension for free, and thank you for working on it. For context, I sent several emails and also suggested what I believed was the cause of the issue and a possible fix. A calculator is a very sensitive tool because many people rely on it heavily, and even very small errors can have serious consequences, especially for financial use. Because of that, I believe new versions should be tested much more carefully before release. One suggestion that would make the extension even better would be an option in Settings to control the decimal limit. You are clearly putting effort into it, and I appreciate that. I hope the remaining issue can be fully resolved soon. UPDATE: 1.0.24: There is still a rounding issue. Try 5/3=1.7 or 11/3=3.7 I also found a few issues with version 1.0.19, so I have to test the older version now. UPDATE: 1.0.25: Rounding issue is fixed.

I love using this extension as part of my work but something recently changed that I don't like, its now returning inaccurate result when decimals are involved. Example: 183.95 / 13625.01 it should return a result of 0.01350090752 or 1.35% when converted to percentage but the extension now only shows 0.01 which is inaccurate. Why only allow 2 decimal places? There are decimal places that can be converted to percentage so returning all the result of a decimal should be allowed and let us users decide which part of the number we want to retain.

Great tool, but needs a fix for division accuracy. "I really enjoy using this calculator, but I noticed an issue with the division function. For example, when calculating 100 / 14, the app returns 7 instead of the correct decimal value of 7.14 . It seems to be rounding down to the nearest whole number. Improving the decimal precision would make this a 5-star app!"

Update April 4 2026: the decimal point issue is back! I see a message from March 30 saying this will be fixed in an update. Great extension in general, but there are two serious issues (hence 1-star - will raise): 1. When I pop the calculator window out, the window attached to the extension remains, which defeats the purpose of popping it out to increase visibility. 2. Today, I have found errors, as if the number of decimal places is fixed to zero: e.g. pi = 3; e = 3; exp(3) = e^{3} = 20; and so on. Have I accidentally set a zero number of decimal places, or is this a bug? Thank you Perneet. Issues were fixed promptly. Updated from 1 star to 5 stars. Very useful extensions with no serious competition.
