UPDATE: as of December 2024 some changes on Facebook end made the extension not work as expected. This has been fixed with the 1/1/2025 release. Also improved UI with progress bar and gradual population of the birthdays list.

This extension allows you to collect your Facebook friends' birthdays in a Calendar friendly format (.ical) so you can take them to your Calendar tool of choice.
It's been tested with Google Calendar and works fine. It generates a yearly event with your friend's birthday and some additional information such as the year they were born (if available) and the link to their Facebook page.
It takes about 10 minutes on an Apple M1 to collect the data for a user with 500 friends.

worked great. thanks. suggestion- add an option to get the data exported as an excel file only 2 columns name and date will be sufficient. I used an online converter for this and then cleaned up the extra data.
