Salesforce Dev Inspector is an excellent extension that saves a lot of time for both developers and admins. It allows you to quickly view field names and values without switching tabs or navigating through Setup. You can also easily check users, licenses, and permission assignments. One of the best features is the Login As functionality — you can search for a user and log in directly from the extension without going through Setup. This has been extremely helpful for user-level testing during implementations.
Salesforce Dev Inspector is a brilliant extension that makes inspecting, analyzing, and managing Salesforce records faster and smarter. It allows you to view object metadata, record fields, user details, permission sets, and even page layouts directly inside the Salesforce UI — no need to open Setup, Developer Console, or Workbench separately! I especially love how easy it is to auto-generate SOQL queries, download record and flow JSONs, and instantly navigate through objects and users. The Fields tab and Objects tab save enormous time during development and troubleshooting. For Salesforce developers, this tool is highly recommended — it dramatically speeds up debugging, configuration, and testing tasks. Plus, viewing Page Layout details linked to records is a huge bonus that makes data understanding even quicker. Salesforce Dev Inspector is an incredible Chrome extension that completely elevates the development and admin experience inside Salesforce. It allows you to quickly view object information, record fields, user data, and related system metadata — all without switching tabs or tools. You can inspect live records, can edit and save field values, run SOQL queries, view both standard and custom objects with their api name and key prefix value, and even access user id, name, email and profiles with permission sets, permission set licenses, groups and permission set groups details with just a few clicks. The Fields tab lets you instantly see field values and even generates the SOQL query by retrieving all the fields automatically — a huge time-saver! The ability to copy and download JSON for records and flows makes debugging and data management effortless. It's lightweight, intuitive, and seamlessly fits into the Salesforce UI. I'm a Salesforce Developer, and this extension has become an essential part of my daily workflow. The Salesforce Dev Inspector makes it incredibly easy to access user details, record data, flow metadata and copy SOQL query directly from the UI.
This is an amazing extension! It's incredibly helpful for checking record details and their layouts. The ability to copy the records in JSON format is a huge plus. I also love that you can view all user details on the same page and easily query fields. It really streamlines the process and saves a lot of time.
