Overview

Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

{find+} is a powerful Find-in-Page extension for Google Chrome allowing you to search a web page or document by regular expression. It has been designed to look and behave much like the native CTRL-F tool, but extended with various useful features.

With {find+}, you can match any legal JavaScript regular expression against text in the page, use find-and-replace to replace text in the page, copy occurrences of a regex to your clipboard, store frequently used expressions, and configure the extension the way you like.

As a software developer, looking through lengthy stack traces, continuous integration build history, or large text files is something we do very regularly. The Chrome Find-in-Page tool works well in most cases, but offers very little when looking for very specific (or very general) keywords.

A few notes:

- This tool was designed and built for developers. If you're not familiar with using regular expressions, this tool is not for you.

- This tool does not support dynamic pages. The purpose of this tool is to search for patterns in structured text, not in pages like Google Sheets or similar sites.

Needs an option to remain open and let the user move to the next match after clicking outside of the search bos to interact with something on the page

I used to have two of these extensions that both did the same thing in somewhat different ways, and usually where one wouldn't work, the other one would. That other one never updated with the Chrome Manifest v3 change, so it basically no longer exists. This one does. Thank you for updating this for Manifest v3 support!

The functionality is good. But it bothers me that the extension requires the right to read my browsing history. I have used a similar extension (Chrome Regex Search 1.0.8) for several years before installing this one today, and it does not require any such permission. This seems to imply - I could be wrong, of course - that this extension wants to spy on users. I would rate it with 4 or 5 stars otherwise, but not like this.

Fantastic to be able to search with regex. I would like the option to automatically add start/end anchors to the expression, so when I'm looking for a six-letter word I can just type ".{6}" instead of "^.{6}$". Bogs down a bit on big pages (Wikipedia list of nations, etc) but works great all in all!
