Writing customized resumes for each job application is time-consuming and exhausting. ApplyMate automates this by analyzing job descriptions and rewriting resumes to match.

1. User uploads their resume PDF via the extension popup (stored in chrome.storage.local). 2. User navigates to a job posting (e.g., LinkedIn Jobs). 3. Extension detects the job page and extracts the job description. 4. User clicks the extension icon to trigger processing. 5. The extension sends the job description and stored resume to the backend API (resume-5v3e.onrender.com/process_jd). 6. The backend returns an optimized resume as a base64-encoded PDF. 7. The extension downloads the optimized PDF and displays what changes were made.

The backend API (resume-5v3e.onrender.com) is hosted on Render's free tier, which may have cold-start delays or limitations. The actual behavior of the API (rate limits, authentication, paid tiers) cannot be determined from client-side code alone.
The popup UI is a minified React bundle (assets/popup-DQgP28bY.js, ~185KB), making it difficult to fully audit for subtle auth or payment logic. However, grep searches for common auth/payment keywords returned no results.
