Screen Recorder extension helps you record video from the computer's screen.

To work with this addon, please click on the toolbar button. Once the recorder interface appears, please adjust desired options, and then click the - Start - button. The video source could be your screen, window, or tab. The audio source can be the system's audio, microphone, mixed, or no audio at all. When you click the start button, a popup will appear within the interface. This popup window allows you to select the desired screen, tab, or window. To start recording please click on the - Share - button. When you are done recording the screen, please press the toolbar button (or the stop button on the app interface) to stop the recording process. The recorded video will be download to your computer automatically (on the default download location).

By default, recorded media is in - webm - format. To get more information about webm video format, please visit this Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebM). If you want to change this format to a different one, please use a different software. Moreover, to switch the interface theme to dark, please press the moon icon in the right toolbar.

Only worked on the first vid, everything after that produced a corrputed file that wouldn't play. Couldn't get it to record system audio.

Stop using WEBM , most obnoxious format. Can't play 80% time in other app or device.

Worst extension ever. It used to work before even if we recorded for 3 hours, it would save the full 100% recording. But now, even if we record for just 10 minutes, only 4 minutes get saved and the rest of the recording disappears. I don’t understand why this happens. This has happened to me 3–4 times already. At first, I thought maybe I made some mistake. But now this has become a fake extension. Don’t install it. Try to report it - it’s a time-wasting extension now.

This used to work well, but not for the last 6 months. Recordings now often don't have audio, only play on certain player and some players only video, some only audio, can't be edited and files bring up warnings about being corrupted

Somewhat usable, however video quality is very low even if you select high quality, which makes this unusable for me. Could be fixed by adding an option for enabling actually higher bitrate. Also the webp file it creates is not valid, which creates problems for some video players.
